1. Scope & Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how MyBabyGuide (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, shares, and safeguards information when you use our websites, apps, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy and to our Terms of Use.

2. Information We Collect

  • Information you provide — such as account details (name, email), saved favorites, search preferences, form entries, and messages you send to us.
  • Usage & device data — including pages viewed, links clicked, referring/exit pages, IP address, device/browser type, operating system, approximate location (derived from IP), date/time stamps, and error logs.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see “Cookies & Similar Technologies” below.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service and core features (e.g., search, favorites, suggestions).
  • Personalize content, including recommended names and localized experiences.
  • Monitor performance, debug issues, and analyze trends to improve usability and reliability.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Communicate with you about updates, features, or policy changes (where permitted).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep you signed in (if applicable), analyze traffic, and measure campaign performance. You can control cookies via your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit some functionality.

5. Analytics & Session Insights

We use analytics services to help us understand how the Service is used and to improve it:

  • Google Analytics — Google may set cookies and collect usage data. Google provides controls including the Google Analytics Opt-out.
  • Microsoft Clarity — Clarity helps us understand user interactions (e.g., clicks, scrolls) to improve usability. It may use cookies and similar technologies as described in Microsoft’s policies.

These providers may process data on servers in various countries. Their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. reCAPTCHA (Fraud Prevention)

We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect forms and reduce spam. reCAPTCHA analyzes traffic and device characteristics to determine whether an interaction is human. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Google Terms of Service.

7. How We Share Information

  • Vendors & service providers that perform services for us (e.g., hosting, analytics, security, communications) under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal compliance — to comply with laws, legal process, or lawful requests, and to protect our rights, users, and the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as permitted by law.
  • With your direction or consent — for example, when you share content or connect with third-party services.

8. Advertising & Personalization

We may show contextual or interest-based content and measure performance of our own campaigns. If we work with advertising partners, they may set or read cookies and collect information to provide, measure, and personalize ads in accordance with their policies and applicable law. Where required, we will obtain your consent for cookies or similar tracking used for advertising.

9. Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of data and our obligations.

10. Security

We employ technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction of processing, or objection. You can also withdraw consent where we rely on consent. To make a request, contact us at privacy@mybabyguide.com.

  • European Economic Area/UK/Switzerland: We process personal data on legal bases such as consent, contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and vital interests. You may contact your local Data Protection Authority.
  • California (CCPA/CPRA): California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing/sale. We do not knowingly sell personal information of minors under 16.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

13. International Transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you reside. When we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to protect it in accordance with applicable law (for example, implementing appropriate contractual safeguards).

14. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard, we do not currently respond to DNT. We will update this Policy if that changes.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, technical, or operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice as appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
